Beast of Reincarnation is a dark action experience of hard fights, strange creatures and a world shattered by mankind’s past mistakes. The combat is said to be tense and satisfying but the environments around those fights are often empty, repetitive and not quite as developed as one would hope.
“The review of Beast of Reincarnation published says: “The game is most enjoyable when players have to learn enemy habits, organise resources and hone their timing. The lack of exploration and choice of worlds may hurt the combat system, so the whole adventure may not be up to snuff.
Endurance in war
The combat is probably the best part of the game. But you can’t just walk in and charge. It appears that reckless movement will lead to fast strikes, heavy damage, and erratic attack patterns. The game is essentially watching animations, waiting for a good time to dodge, and waiting for a good time to counterattack.
It’s fun to learn! Good opponents will get you down a number of times, but each time you learn something useful. It is not unfair, it is satisfying, to know the ways of a creature and to win.
Enemy’s Need for Diverse Tactics
There are many different types of enemies that the player needs to adapt to it seems.
Fast enemies can drive the player into close quarters combat, while larger ones can fill the room with deadly attacks. Other enemies might have ranged attacks, poison or environmental effects.
Boss fights will be the most hardcore combat encounter. All players would be challenged by their unique design and ever-changing attack patterns.
Player Choice of Advancement Rewards
For instance, character development gives players more choices to survive difficult encounters.
Make all sorts of combat styles with weapons, abilities, defensive upgrades and movement skills! Some may want to attack quickly and dodge carefully, some may want heavier weapons and better defences.
Hard games require a good progression system to reward effort without taking away all of the challenge.
The world is not developed enough.
The environments are the game’s weakness.
Dark forests, ruined cities, abandoned installations, corrupted landscapes – impressive on opening hours. After a while exploration can become a little less exciting, due to repeated structures and little interaction.
Big open areas require meaningful discoveries, memorable characters and environmental stories. Without those things, the world just looks like a bunch of paths from fight to fight.
Repetition Turns Into Exploration
Players could spend too much time gathering the same basic materials, running the same narrow paths and battling the same familiar enemies.
Predictable rewards make secret places less appealing. Exploration would have been more rewarding if side missions, environmental puzzles, optional bosses and unique locations were better.
There isn’t much variety, and it can be a letdown if you’re expecting a world of secrets and depth.
